Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, playroom space.
Needs: a space that's easily adaptable to the changing needs of their population while still being engaging
and inviting for a variety of play, accommodating mobility aids.
A long, rectangular room, Roomscapes panels connected to shelves delineate play zones. Transparent
panels allow for maximum visibility and easy supervision. Sweep shelves and curved arches of the panels
soften the space, making it more inviting.
An inviting mirror backing and a canopy turns a practical display shelf into an inviting play area.
Community Playthings shelves have uniquely designed wheels on kick-plates that are easy to move to
redefine a space but once in place, with the wheels up, they are a solid anchor for Roomscapes’ posts and
panels.
Legs used on both, Classroom and MultiTables are uniquely adaptable to changing needs. Removable
without tools, they come with quick height adjustable legs. An adult can set heights to accommodate
children at different heights: sitting, in a standup walker, or a power wheelchair.
