Cubelets are robot blocks that help teach important problem-solving skills – like collaboration, engineering, design, and computational thinking, without the need to write a line of code.
Ideal for mix-aged after-school programs, clubs, camps, libraries, museums, makerspaces and middle school coding initiatives, the Motivated Makers Pack is designed for the needs of the youngest builders, supporting six working groups.
Build steerable robots and more with this perfect screen-free robotics tool.
Each Cubelet is a robot in itself, with a specific type of function – sensing, thinking or acting. With magnetic connectivity, they snap together effortlessly, to communicate and work together. Attach wheels, pulleys, pens and so much more to make all manner of sensing, fun machines.
Plus with the Brick Adapters you can connect Cubelets to LEGO® bricks.
Scalable, students can create sophisticate robots, with just a few presses of buttons on the Cubelet itself or program with drag and drop Blockly or text-based C coding.
This unique versatility makes Cubelets as engaging for children as they are for Ph.D. tech enthusiasts with hundreds of free resources and inspiration available online

How cubelets work
Cubelets are magnetic blocks that can simply be snapped together or pull apart – as you build your robot you build the code that controls its behavior. It’s hands-on coding!
Each Cubelet has a special function and belongs to one of three categories:
SENSE Cubelets take in information from the robot’s environment.
THINK Cubelets compute and change that information,
ACT Cubelets turn that information into physical action.
Each construction must have one Battery block, which has an internal, rechargeable battery, that powers all the other blocks.
What you connect, and how you connect Cubelets changes the behavior of your robot constructions. Every combination is a new creation.
When assembled in a specific order, students create functional robots that can move, lift, push, make sounds, light up and even navigate, reacting to elements in their environment.
Add a Bluetooth Hat and connect robots to free apps to learn from data values, swap Personalities, or code new behaviors.
