Attendees also took part in a treasure hunt, exploring the room to discover different materials and pieces of furniture. Along the way, they learned more about the products in a fun, hands-on way while also having the chance to win prizes.
Widgit Online, for quickly creating signs, schedules, labels and other visuals, was certainly a highlight.
Another focus was exploring effective learning space layouts. With an emphasis on environments that support child development, participants gained practical ideas, including sample plans, case studies, and strategies shaped by common challenges.
Not to mention loot bags, draw prizes, and tasty snacks.
Managers, supervisors, and frontline ECEs from not-for-profits, the private sector, and government organizations appreciated the chance to share common challenges in this rapidly changing professional landscape.
Fascinating discussions emerged around finding engaging, screen-free resources for after-school programs, taking learning outdoors, planning, staff shortages, and the noticeable changes in children since COVID.
